An amniotic fluid volume (AFI) exam is a prenatal ultrasound is to measure the amount of amniotic fluid surrounding your baby. This fluid is essential for healthy fetal development, providing cushioning and room for growth & movement. During this sonogram, the sonographer uses ultrasounds to scan the uterus and measure fluid pockets in four areas, calculating the amniotic fluid index (AFI) or the deepest vertical pocket (DVP), based on clinical guidelines. This safe, non-invasive procedure is often part of routine prenatal care, especially in the third trimester or when complications are a concern. Refund Policy - Applies to 3D, 4D and 5D ONLY If your baby isn’t in an ideal position during your session, we may recommend rescheduling your scan for a later time to give your baby a chance to move. (Please note: complimentary re-scans are not available with Special offers.) There is a $75 sitting fee that you pay at your first visit. This fee is non-refundable and is part of our 3D / 4D / 5D / HD Live ultrasound packages. If we get good pictures at your second visit, you’ll just pay the rest of the package price. But if your baby is still hiding and we can’t finish the session, you don’t have to pay anything more.
