  • What’s the difference between elective and medical ultrasounds?
Elective ultrasounds are optional, non-medical scans designed for bonding, keepsakes, and gender reveals — not for diagnosis or treatment. They are NOT covered by insurance. Medical ultrasounds are diagnostic and ordered by your doctor to monitor your baby’s development and health. While they are typically covered by insurance at the Doctor's office, we unfortunately can NOT accept insurance.
  • What is the difference between 2D vs. 3D vs. 4D vs. 5D / HD Live ultrasound?
2D Ultrasound What it is: A 2D, black-and-white image of your baby. What do you see: Basic shapes and structures like your baby’s body, heart, and face. When it’s used: Often used early in pregnancy to check your baby’s growth and health. 3D Ultrasound What it is: A 3D image of your baby. What do you see: A clearer view of your baby’s face, hands, and feet in 3D detail. When it’s used: Usually done in the second or third trimester to get a closer look at your baby’s features. 4D Ultrasound What it is: A 3D image with added movement, showing your baby in real-time. What do you see: Your baby moving, like yawning, kicking, or stretching, in 3D. When it’s used: Often used later in pregnancy to capture your baby’s movements and features. 5D / HD Live Ultrasound What it is: The most advanced technology, offering high-definition 3D and 4D images. What do you see: Extremely clear, smooth, and lifelike images of your baby, almost like seeing them in person. When it’s used: Used to get the most detailed and realistic images, typically in the second or third trimester.
  • Are elective ultrasounds safe for my baby?
Yes! All of our ultrasound scans, including 2D, 3D, 4D, and 5D / HD Live imaging, are completely safe when performed by trained professionals. We follow FDA guidelines and keep scan times within recommended limits.
  • When is the best time to come in for a 3D / 4D / 5D / HD Live ultrasound?
The best time for detailed images is between 26 and 34 weeks of pregnancy. Earlier scans may not show facial features clearly, while later scans might be limited by baby’s position.
  • Can I find out my baby’s gender with you?
Absolutely! We offer gender determination ultrasounds starting at 12 weeks and early gender DNA blood testing as early as 6 weeks with 99.5% accuracy.
  • Do I need a doctor’s referral to book an elective or medical ultrasounds?
No referral is needed for either entertainment / elective ultrasounds or medical ultrasounds.
  • What should I do to prepare for my ultrasound?
Drink plenty of water in the days leading up to your appointment to improve image clarity. A light snack 30 minutes before your scan can sometimes help wake baby up!
  • Can family and friends join me for my scan?
Yes! We welcome your loved ones to share this special moment—our cozy, family-friendly viewing room is designed for mommy + 5 guests, so you can enjoy the experience together in comfort and style. It's the perfect setting to make memories that last a lifetime.
  • What if my baby isn’t in a good position during the scan?
At View A Miracle, we want you to leave with special pictures you’ll always remember. If we can’t get clear photos of your baby’s face during your first visit, we’ll invite you to come back one more time within 1–2 weeks for a re-scan(this doesn’t apply to special deals). We’ll do our very best to get those adorable shots! There is a $75 sitting fee that you pay at your first visit. This fee is non-refundable and is part of our 3D / 4D / 5D / HD Live ultrasound packages. If we get good pictures at your second visit, you’ll just pay the rest of the package price. But if your baby is still hiding and we can’t finish the session, you don’t have to pay anything more.
  • Do you offer keepsakes or gift options?
Yes! We offer printed photos, heartbeat recordings in plush animals, video recordings and images on USBs, and gift certificates — perfect for baby showers or surprises.
  • Are your ultrasound technicians registered?
Yes — all ultrasounds are performed by Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS).
  • Will I be able to find out the gender of my baby?
You can now find out your baby’s gender as early as 6 weeks with a DNA blood test that is 99.5% accurate! If you’d rather find out through an ultrasound, we can do a 2D gender scan between 12 and 15 weeks with 95%–99% accuracy. After 16 weeks, our 2D ultrasound is 100% accurate for telling the gender. If you're super excited to know the gender, we’ll be happy to share the news! But if you want it to be a surprise, just tell us — we’ll be careful not to look at or show that area during your scan. Note: If you haven’t had an ultrasound during this pregnancy yet, you’ll need to have a pregnancy confirmation scan first.
  • I want to do the DNA blood test. What factors do I need to consider?
If you’re not sure how far along you are or haven’t seen your doctor yet, our registered sonographer can do a transvaginal ultrasound to help find out your due date. If the scan shows that you are less than 6 weeks along, or if we can’t see the baby or a heartbeat yet, you won’t be able to do the DNA gender test during that visit. In that case, you’ll only need to pay for the Pregnancy Confirmation Scan.
  • I want to find out my baby's gender but I don't know how far along I am. What can I do?
If you are less than 8 weeks along, we’ll do a special kind of early scan called a transvaginal Pregnancy Confirmation Scan. Once your baby measures at least 6 weeks and we can see a heartbeat, you can then choose to take our Gender DNA Blood Test. This test is a fun and exciting way to start bonding with your baby — even before we see them on an ultrasound. It’s easy and quick! A trained team member will gently draw your blood right in our cozy ultrasound studio. Then, we send your sample to a trusted lab that works fast. The regular wait time is 7 business days and costs $150. If you want results faster, you can pay $50 more and get them in just 2 business days. Please remember: View A Miracle only collects your blood. The lab does all the testing and gives us the results.
  • Do I need an appointment?
Yes, we are open by appointment only, and all ultrasound sessions need to be scheduled in advance. We offer same-day or next-day appointments during the week and on weekends, and we can also accommodate evening visits.
  • Can I make an appointment over the phone?
No, we do not schedule appointments over the phone. Click the Book Now button on our website to see our full calendar of available dates and times to select from. You will need to enter your personal information upon booking to hold your appointment. As stated in our cancellation policy, you will be charged the $75 sitting fee if you do not show for your desired appointment.
  • Do you accept walk-ins?
No, we are open by appointment only and all ultrasound sessions must have a scheduled time booked online.
  • Will I always get a perfect picture of my baby?
Many factors can influence the quality of your ultrasound images, including your baby’s position, the amount of amniotic fluid, and maternal tissue. Our experienced team will do everything we can to capture the best possible images of your little one. If your baby isn’t in an ideal position during your session, we may recommend rescheduling your scan for a later time to give your baby a chance to move. (Please note: complimentary re-scans are not available with Special offers.) There is a $75 sitting fee that you pay at your first visit. This fee is non-refundable and is part of our 3D / 4D / 5D / HD Live ultrasound packages. If we get good pictures at your second visit, you’ll just pay the rest of the package price. But if your baby is still hiding and we can’t finish the session, you don’t have to pay anything more. Your satisfaction is very important to us! If you have any concerns during your visit, please don’t hesitate to let us know before you leave so we can make sure you’re happy with your experience.
  • What determines the quality of the images?
Several factors can impact the clarity of your ultrasound images — including baby’s position, placenta placement, maternal body type, and fetal movement. The most important factor, however, is having plenty of amniotic fluid in front of your baby’s face — the more fluid, the clearer the image. To help us capture the best possible pictures, please drink plenty of water starting two days before your appointment. On the day of your scan, arrive with a full bladder and avoid using the restroom once you arrive.
  • What happens if you are unable to get any images?
Every pregnancy is unique, and sometimes babies just aren’t in the ideal position for photos. If that happens during your session, we may ask you to empty your bladder, take a short walk, sip some water, roll from side to side, or even enjoy a little chocolate to help encourage movement before bringing you back in for another try.
  • I noticed you sell baby items. When can I shop?
We are open by appointment only. You may shop before or after your scheduled appointment.
  • I bought an item in your store. Can I return it?
Please note that all sales are final. If you have any concerns, we’re always happy to help clarify before your purchase.
